Tribute to the artist Tetsuo Hara : The "HOKUTO NO DOOM" project release.

icemanpage.com in collaboration with hokutolegacy.com and doomwadstation.com proudly present the "Hokuto No Doom" tribute mod.

This totally converted episode is a completely remapped 9 level game using the "Hokuto No Ken" characters (also known as "Fist of the North Star", "Ken il Guerriero" and "El Puno de la Estrella del Norte") in the classic "Doom" engine.

The story:
At the end of the second millenium, the world was devastated by a nuclear explosion…
On this planet ruled by fear, "Kenshiro" fights to find "Yuria", his fiancée kidnapped by "Shin".

Get ready for an amazing experience:
The first game ever where you really ARE Kenshiro.
New weapons and awesome techniques.
9 totally remapped levels including a complete review of the lights.
Completely new atmosphere with the Japanese original voices.
The best digital BGM themes from the Kodomo Band and Crystal King.

- Remove all "Hokuto No Doom" project private data (title screen, credits, menu, banners...).
- Quote "Hokuto No Doom" as project basis in your map credits.
- Replace more than 50% of all graphic and audio resources.

Dear all,

After 15 days of follow up, we stopped the statistics counter.
The "Hokuto No Doom" release was a great success.

Now lets come the next step of this amazing project...
As the game originally handle LAN gaming and solo gaming we're currently working with the help of few communities to generate servers to play it through TCP/IP internet protocol.

Here is my current demand :
Unfortunaly all our server creation tests failed, but client way works perfectly and we could join games without any problem.

If you're a "gioco di tavolo" network manager or player and able to host Doom ZDAEMON permanent servers and got knowledge in this, be gentle to connect me anytime at the adress : [email protected]
All helps to host are welcome, we've around 300 French and Italian gamers that would appreciate to have fun international games together.
We actually estimated a requirement of 32 permanent players (maybe more during weekends) divided on servers as 2x16 players or 4x8 players games...

On the 2nd September 2007, for Tetsuo HARA's birthday, the world discovered the "Hokuto No Doom" immersive experience and was able to incarnate Kenshiro as never before in a videogame.

On the 11th October 2007, exactly 23 years after the first TV release, you'll now discover an additionnal gaming experience offered to all "Hokuto No Ken" fans.
With the warm help of the teams <sl> - <noob> - <db> this game is now available for Massive Multiplayer Online gaming.

For this online release, initial gaming capacity is able to host up to 87 players on permanent servers.

The game has been tested for several weeks in the worst conditions, and is perfectly playable without any lagging up to a response time ("ping") of 550. Consequently, from wherever you're are on earth, you can join any of those servers.
